Searching with Advanced Bin Management

With advanced bin management enabled I've been trying unsuccessfully to create a few basic but important bin management searches:

1. Bin Contents Report - list of item quantities in bins, one row per item/bin, ordered by bin and filtered by Location, so a location can be selected and a report of the contents of all bins produced.
2. Empty Bins Report - list of all empty bins at a location. 

The issues I find are:

1. From a bin search there is no join to the item or Inventory Detail record.
2. From an item search there is no Location field in the Inventory Detail join.
