Picking & Shipping Serialized Inventory

Hi we are in the process of turning on and using serialized inventory.  Does anyone know an easy way for the shipping person to scan the serial number input instead of having to press enter on the Keyboard everytime?  I would love to hear from others that are using Serialized Inventory to see what your workflow is.
