Picking oldest product first
We are in the initial stages of implementation and have not identified the need for a 3rd party WMS. We currently use bins and assign bin locations randomly. We also have a need to pick with FIFO preference. We were told that NetSuite does not have native FIFO picking or visibility to the age of a lot during picking. The implementation team is identifying possible solutions. I haven't found a forum topic about this but thought the need would be fairly common.
My initial thought is to use lot and bin control with auto assignment of lot# or an imbedded date in the lot identity; thus the oldest/earliest lot would be visible.
0
