Using Advanced PDF for printing labels

Has anyone been successful at using Advanced PDF to create item labels? If I set the out-of-the-box PDF template as the default, I get an error when trying to print: "The template cannot be saved due to the following errors:Missing "value" attribute in barcode.". Yes, this error is when trying to print the label.

I tried to customize my own version, but I get the same result. Any suggestions?
