making only single field editable in invoice

I just want to make a single field editable in invoice. i dont want to give full invoice editing rights to users. but if i give edit rights to users they will get full edit rights. how do i restrict a single body level field to be editable in invoice and rest body level fields and line level fields to be uneditable.
