Default Ship Via per Customer?

Hi,

I was wondering how a customer record could have a default for the ship via field? I am wondering if this is a defect or not. Basically our default is set as UPS ground but for some reason, on one particular customer, the default goes to UPS Next Day Air. I was wondering if anyone has seen this or knows how I can change it or if I just need to put in a support ticket.
