Finish old Sales/Purchase orders

So I have recently started a new position and got kinda dropped into Netsuite. I have discovered that for a long time previous employees have received a sales order that required a purchase order/drop ship so they hit the create PO button and went on and never went back and marked the PO shipped thusly I am facing literally thousands of open orders and PO's dating back years. Is there any way to close all of these without impacting accounting (Billing was done at time of order) or sending out emails.
