Network Thermal Label printer

Hello, I have just installed a new zebra 500 printer on the network.  I have been able to successfully get a label to print but when I do the new tab that is opened in IE just stays open with the Status of Rendering EPL2 data.  When I used to print to a local printer I don't recall having to close that tab.  Does this sound like an IE setting or something I need to add to the label.bat file?
