Locking Orders

I might be missing something simple on our pick pack fulfill process but we are wanting to ensure orders are locked for editing while in any of these stages of processing as we have an issue with orders being edited while they are in the middle of picking and packing them.  Is there a setting or something we are missing to lock down an order during fulfillment process?
