Customising order fulfilments

We utilise a two stage delivery process:

1) we send the order details to the warehouse (picking & packing all in one)
2) a few days later, the warehouse will either deliver it or release it for collection by a third party shipper. (shipping)

Both of these involve a lot of manual work and I want to simply it a bit.

For stage 1), I want to have a document created (ideally PDF) that we can send to the customer if we choose with all the inventory details on. This will quite often be several different orders all packed/picked together. When the customer or a third party shipper comes to collect, this document will have all the information on that the warehouse requires
