Printing Back Ordered Items On Packing Slips

I'm looking for a solution to include back ordered items on our packing slips.  From how we have it set up today, the packing slip reflects all items that have been shipped via the associated Item Fulfillment record.  I was hoping to put all the items from the sales order on the packing slip, with the shipped items showing shipped, and the non-shipped items showing back order.  Is this possible?  A solution would be just to print the sales order, which has this information, but I was hoping not to have to modify my Sales Order form to look like
