Copy field value from item fullfilment to invoice

Dear All,

I would like to copy field values from the item fulfillment to the invoice. the context is: I would like to enter the packaging details on the fulfillment form (number of pallets, number of box on pallet), and displaying this values on the invoice.
Tested method tried and failed.
1/ Create fields at the fulfillment form and add the value(-s) manually. Further, I added new fields on the invoice form and sourced the value(-s) from the item fulfillment. => Failed
2/ Create  workflow to copy the value from the fulfillment file to the invoice. => Failed

Currently I'm out of idea's and I don't know how to get it done. Any suggestions (help) is welcome.
