Getting drop ship vendor tacking into fulfillments. Items shipped 3rd party UPS on our account

Has anyone figured out a way to get drop ship vendor tacking into fulfillments?   The drop ship Items are shipped 3rd party via UPS on our account.  So we have access to UPS quantum view and it has the tracking numbers.  Most of the UPS tracking numbers have our reference number in their reference number field (eg: drop ship PO# and Sales order number). 

One way I thought about doing it was using the Netsuite internal ID number for the fulfillment as the reference number we want them to use.  Then I could export the list of shipped packages from UPS quantum view and import into NetSuite.
