Inventory Usage Report

We would like to track the age of our inventory on-hand.  Does anyone know how to customize an existing report that will give the following information:

Item, on-hand quantity, unit cost, extended cost, units sold (within a given date range)

Specifically, we want to know which items we have in inventory at any given time that is older than 6-months.  Any ideas?
