Report for on-time shipping

We are trying to figure out a way we can track on-time % for stock orders within the warehouse’s control ... meaning that when an order is received from a customer, we have it in stock, and it is committed to that order, is it fulfilled by the time we told the customer it would?  Anyone out there do this or have an idea how to do this?
