Cannot delete Saved Report

I encountered this bug back in July (defect 125269) and it was fixed.  Then I read a Sept post from another user who encountered this bug (defect 152392)--that too was fixed.   But today this little critter re-appeared.  I have several reports I need to delete.  They have schedules tied to them so I DELETED THE SCHEDULES, then I tried to delete the reports. I get an error message - cant delete them.

The error messages says I have to delete the schedules (already did that) AND delete the Report Results (???) in order to delete the saved report.   Why on earth would we have to delete tons of report RESULTS from prior weeks --in order to delete the main report?   Some reports are setup to generate daily, weekly, etc---so there are quite a few results saved.  I can go thru the results one by one and delete them--but it's not an effective use of time to delete PAST report results, in order to delete a report.  I cant believe this is how
