Complex Transaction Formula

After scouring the message boards I have decided to finally post this request.

We have a need to calculate within Netsuite the percentage of time a particular item is on a sales order and the sales order is greater than $100.  Can this be done with a formula on a saved search. 
I have created a search that finds all sales orders with the specific item on it - but that is as far as I can get.
Any help would be appreciated.
