Count Emails by Sales Rep?

I am trying to create a saved search/report to count emails by sales rep.  I have tried to customize sales activity by sales rep report, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to filter by activity type email.  When creating a saved search, email is not available for activity type.

If anyone has any tips that would be great.
