Sales Rep assignments affect history?

Hi there…

I have another one of these “hmmmmm?” kind of NetSuite things.  Funny how the simple things make you go “hmmmmm?” more than the really hard ones!
Up until very recently we rarely changed customer/sales rep assignments. We recently went through an entire territory reassignment.
So far so good, but today I was running sales reports by sales rep and had to go back a few years and surprise surprise today’s territory assignments
are applied to our 2007 sales, in other words I can no longer get what each sales person did 3 years ago as most of these reports are by sales rep and
