How can I get a formula at the Total level?

Is it possible to apply the same formula to the Group level breaks for Searches?  I attempted to discover a way to get a calculated field to be part of the group level totals in both Reports and Searches.  SuiteAnswers referred me from reports to searches.

I have a formula to calculate a percentage at the detail level of a search. I am calculating the “average selling price” for items within a search.

• I take the line item base price times the quantity to determine what the total Base Price would have been for the quantity of items.

• I use the Amount (net of taxes) to get the total dollar amount by item
