Keeping track of saved search alerts

We have a LOT of saved search alerts, each with a custom subject line.  I'm trying to track down a particular search based on the resulting email.  I tried creating a search based on the alertsubject field but that field doesn't seem to be exposed to the search builder.

Are there any workarounds to this problem?  Maybe the search id is buried in the email header info somewhere?
