Issues When Searching...

I am working with the 'search' operation using the NetSuite web service and I am encountering some unexplained errors when attempting to access records.  I have written my application in PERL/CGI using the SOAP::Lite module and can successfully connect and communicate with the application using other functions (like login and getSelectValue), but when submitting the sample request provided in the documentation I am getting the following error:

A fault (soapenv:Server.userException) occurred: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Unable to marshall between XML and Castor Objects :unable to find FieldDescriptor for 'customerJoin' in ClassDescriptor of SearchRecord
