Currency Stops me updating Customer record - Help

Hi there, please help.

I can't update a customer record using web services.

I get the error message :

You do not have permissions to set a value for element currency due to one of the following reasons: 1) The field is read-only; 2) An associated feature is disabled; 3) The field is available either when a record is created or updated, but not in both cases.



How can I get the update to work? I only want to update a couple of custom fields against the customer, but the behaviour of this record is preventing me.
