Suggestion: Item Types should implement an Item interface
I know there are some major differences between the different types of items, but I think it would be GREAT if all the item types implemented an Item interface with common shared fields like ItemID. This would make it easier to program against the Web Services interface--right now I use a bunch of Select/Case statements just to get at these common fields for different types of items. This seems like something that would be easy for NetSuite to add in a future version, since it wouldn't impact existing code.
Similarly, Inventory Items and Serialized Inventory Items could share another interface with inventory-related fields.
