Extremely Slow Upload to Netsuite via Web Services - Any Suggestions?

We have been doing an extensive amount of testing using the new vendor Trueship.  The software (used for printing an all-in one packing form) now seems to work.  Our only complaint is the amount of time it takes trueship to upload the tracking number back into Netsuite and update the sales order to "fulfilled".  It seems to run about 1 sales order update / minute, if not longer.

Is this a problem with the Trueship software or is Netsuite web services during the afternoon (East Coast) that slow? 

The download of the sales order works quickly enough, but the amending of the sales order is painful.
