SearchMultiSelectField with a Search

I am trying to filter a SupportCase search by the origin. The origin being Phone (-5). 

         SupportCaseSearchBasic caseSearchBasic = new SupportCaseSearchBasic()          RecordRef ref = new RecordRef()          ref.internalId = -5          ref.type = RecordType.supportCase          SearchMultiSelectField originRef = new SearchMultiSelectField()          originRef.searchValue = ref          caseSearchBasic.origin = originRef



This line is giving me some greif. RecordRef to RecordRef[] assignment.
originRef.searchValue = ref


Any ideas?
