LIne Item Shipping and Web Service Integration

This is my first post and I'm currently in the process of implementing NetSuite so pardon me if I'm posting to the wrong area.

I'm trying to bring in orders from an external website. We do not charge for shipping to the contiguous US, but we do to HI, AK, PR and Canada (GST, PST and duties are included in the calculation). We calculate the shipping amounts on our website and need to bring these into NetSuite. All the posts I can find deal with whole order shipping charges. We calculate each item separately because we are a drop shipper and do not necessarily fulfill all items at once. Also, shipping charges can be quite different depending on where the origin of shipment is.
