does web service slows Netsuite?

We are in the middle of implement a warehouse management system. All stock receiving, fulfillment will be done in that system and write to Netsuite. The system is running 3 times every minute, log in Netsuite, do 7 searches (search if there is any new sales order, purchase order, item fulfillment, item receipt..), then transfer the sales order to that system, pick the order, write the fulfillment back to Netsuite sales order... Log out when finish. Then logo in again.
When this is running, I find Netsuite is much slower than normal. That guy doesn't agree that his system will slow our Netsuite. He says a cloud system should have unlimited resources for him to log in, search, write and log out.
