Authentication Using Request Level Credentials

I want to try login using request level authentication in order to speed up my site.  Logging in at the session level takes a full minute or more for the page to load.

Unfortunately the example that the SuiteAnswers page gives doesn't work.

The example calls for a NetSuiteBindingStub object, which doesn't exist in com.netsuite.webservices.  Does anyone have a successful way to log in using request-level authentication?

I am very frustrated that Netsuite does not publish a full API, doesn't update their help files, and apparently doesn't monitor these forums.
