SuiteTalk ignores the fileType when 'add'ing a File

So, it appears that when you send a file via SuiteTalk, it ignores the fileType you specify and, instead, looks at the file 'name' for an extension .. and uses it.  If there is no extension, if defaults to BIN. 

Is this correct?  Am I missing something?
