eBay API integration

We have always wanted to sell on eBay, but we didn't like the 3rd party "pay options" and we didn't want to use eBay's check-out and then double enter our orders into NS.  Now, "eBay Express" has a new feature.  Ebay says "Use eBay checkout or the new checkout integration API (for 3rd party order processing)".  So, I assume that it would now be possible to have a ebay express store, but have the orders entered directly into NS.  Is that correct?  Has anybody looked into it?
