Two matrix item fixes needed ASAP

Two matrix item fixes are needed and we hoped to see them in v11.  I think they have universal appeal to ALL users using NS matrix items.

1.

If I have a matrix item (like womens high heeled shoes) and it is available in RED or BLUE and my supplier says "WE ARE DROPPING RED", I want to be able to open up the red child item and click on INACTIVE and have that item become no longer available (and this is possible in NS).  The problem is that I then want the matrix item (when viewed online by a web shopper) to say "womens high heeled shoes. Shoe Color = RED".  I don't want a "drop down menu" that says "pick a shoe color" and then the
