Basket empty when checking out

Hi,

We have lots of people who add items to their basket and when they click checkout, the basket is empty. I wonder whether this is a bug or a caching issue for example. Can't be the latter I would have thought because it doesn't seem to happen on other websites.

I've also seen this happen after logging in and doing it through re-order items. When I have then gone back to the homepage for example, the basket is empty. It only all re-appears once at payment page.
