Unable to change THEME following maintenance

Surely I am not alone with this one - following the scheduled maintenance nearly two weeks ago I have been unable to change the theme for our hosted website to a customised one. Even if the customisation is not customised e.g. just a copy of the NS original it reports that things have been deleted since last update and doesn't allow it. I am new to NS and try to setup everything and get our web site up and running - can you add your name to this if you too are frustrated about this - as a new user
