Display In Web Site Option

The DISPLAY IN WEB SITE check box is only available for the parent item. This needs to be on the sub items as well so you can keep certain option combinations from showing on the website in the event they are no longer available for sale. You cannot delete a sub-item once it has been ordered so it continues to show on the web site. I cannot figure how to remove these items from the web site.
