Convert a Tab to a Category?

in Web Site / E-Commerce

Does anyone know how to convert a tab to a category?  I set up a tab with a bunch of items and categories on it and now I want to make the tab a subcategory to another category that is already set up.  Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to delete the tab and then re-set it up as a category?
