Css & Java Script

in Web Site / E-Commerce

CSS and Java script are hard coded into each web page. Is it possible to have these placed in seperate files and referenced. It seems that every SE Bot has to wade through all this code before it finds any page content. If I view the source on my home page the first bit of text falls on line 515 of the code. I am being told that most SE Bots will have given up before reach there is that true?
