Excluding information items from website searches
Does anyone know if it is possible to exclude information items from website searches? I have just applied templates to my search results so they match the item lists on the rest of my pages. Problem is, some searches may turn up an information item as well as an inventory item. The information items, however, don't have the same fields as inventory items, so instead of names and descriptions showing up, i get error messages.

The first two results are for information items. I don't need information items to turn up in search results, so if I could exclude them somehow that would be great. If not, is there anything I can do to my tags in my custom list cell template to make both inventory items and information items display correctly?
