Choosing fields to show of External Transaction Forms & PDF Layout (Sales Order)

We are trying to limit the fields, including some custom fields, that show up on the sales order transaction form in our Customer Center.  We know how to limit what shows on the entry form, but we are having problems limiting the field on the View form.  We also are having problems limiting what is shown on the PDF layout.  We can normally choose to show or not show a field with the Printing Fields tab on the custom transaction form.
