Presentation Tabs vs. Catalogs
I am struggling with understanding the practical application of Presentation Tabs vs. Catalogs.
1) You must have at least one tab. (ie catalog)
2) Tabs are generally used across the top with categories being the left nav
3) In our case, we want the left nav to always be a complete menu
4) The tab name being in the URL concerns me.
www.mysite.com/tab01/category01
www.mysite.com/tab01/category25
www.mysite.com/tab04/category03
If I change, tab01 to tab99, I will have to remember to create 3 redirects. Then I loose page reputation for 3 URL's
#3 and #4 above makes me think that in our case, we should have one "presentation tab" and the remainder be categories.
