HELP - attribute 'salesdescription' not found - for KITS

The full error I'm getting is this:

[Error processing dynamic tag getCurrentAttribute('item','salesdescription') : attribute 'salesdescription' not found]

It looks to me like it's looking for the sales description field. However, this item is a kit. There is no SD field. That field does exist in inventory items, but not in kits. So, does anyone have any idea what it's looking for??
