Making the Store Description the same as the Sales Description

I am in the process of designing our web store and have just got the web store descriptions to write.

We already have good sales descripitions in our items (in the "Sales Description" field) so ideally i'd like to be able to set a global setting for the store to use the sales descriptions on the store.

Currently, the store is just using the item code as the display name which doesn't really mean anything to our clients (our codes are MA-003 for example).

Does anyone know if this is possible?
