Website Tab Display properties changed?

I have a Website tab which is set not to display in the webstore (i.e. the Display in Web Site checkbox is clear).  It used - as recently as Last Friday - to do what it said on the tin in that it DID NOT display.  I noticed today that it now does.

While I recognise that not everyone would need a non displaying web store tab such a thing has its uses.  Has anything changed or can it be fixed please?
