Using subcustomers as contacts on the web
Background:
We setup all companies as companies, then we create all contacts as subcustomers underneath that company using the Child Of (Parent) field. We have to use this work-around because Netsuite doesn't let you tie orders to contacts if you use their contacts functionality.
Question:
Our challenge is that we are trying to launch our netsuite-based website and we need to create a "Company" record after the person registers as an individual and make the company the parent of this individual.
I'm looking for anyone that has faced a similar situation. How do you deal with this situation? Should we write a server-side script to create the parent? Any ideas?
