Gift Certificates: Can the purchaser be cc'd on what the recipient gets?

Apologies if this has been covered, I have searched extensively and come up with nothing.

Essentially, I want to do exactly as the subject line suggests: When a customer purchases a gift certificate, we would like them to receive a cc on the email sent to the recipient.

Anyone know how/if/when/what to do here?
