Mass Update question

Hey is there a way using massupdate where u can lets say i want to set all items metatag to 

<meta name="keywords" content=" (replace: Item Description tag)">

and there search field to the item description tag

i know i can at least just go have it mass add the meta tags for me but i was wondering if there was a way to pull the description and put that into a spot as well

is it like the <%=getCurrentAttribute('item','salesdescription')%> tag or w/e you use to call the info
