Category Translations Not Working

On one our our categories on our new website, we are having difficulties getting the translations to work.

I have the description and store detailed description displayed in our template.  I also have each of those translated into about 10 different languages.  But when the customer changes the language to anything other than English, the store detail description changes correctly but the description changes to Simplified Chinese every time.

Can anyone tell me what might be happening?

I wish I could offer as many answers as I offer questions on this forum :rolleyes:
