Understanding Checkout Abandonment

edited Jan 20, 2008 7:24PM in Web Site / E-Commerce 2 comments

Our top line Checkout Abandonment rate is 20% this week. and normally varies between 20% to 27% but when we click on the graphs we get totally different figures:

Daily are between 0.2% and 2%
Weekly are between 1% and 3%
Monthly are between 5% to 6%

This doesn't make sense a checkout started and not finished does not change over time.  And the figures do not relate to each other.

a) Can anyone shed some light on why the KPI figure does not match the graphs in anyway?

b) Why are the graphs producing different orders of abandonment, I would expect them to be roughly the same?

We also get the same effect on Cart Abandonment.

Howdy, Stranger!
