Error when adding a new site

We recently purchased the multi-site feature, however, have not been able to create a new site.   Whenever we select "new" website and try to save, this notice appears:

"Items you have requested in the record have been deleted since you retrieved the form"

I have opened a case (#693573) and have been told that it is a bug in the 2008 version, has anyone else had this problem?
