Custom Shipping Options

in Web Site / E-Commerce

We would like to replace the Checkout button with a Shipping/Checkout button which would send the customer to a page where we could ask the customer some questions and then compute and display the shipping amount with our own logic. On the custom page there would be a button Finalize Checkout which would function the same as the current Checkout button.

Is this possible with a Netsuite hosted site. I ask because shipping is complex for us and I can not get a satisfactory solution inside Netsuite at present.
